PEAS MASALA Recipe | Main Course Recipe by Sarada Venugopal |
| INGREDIENTS | 1) Green peas or dried peas(if dried one, soaked for 3 hrs and boiled) - 1 1/2 cup
2) Potatoes - 3(cut into cubes)
3) Tomatoes - 2 (cut into small pieces)
4) Onions - 3 (cut into small pieces)
5) Saunf - 1/2 teaspoon
6) Garlic chopped - 2 teaspoon
7) Ginger chopped - 2 teaspoon
8) Turmeric powder- 1_/2 teaspoon
9) Coriander powder - 3 - 4 teaspoon
10) Chilli powder - 2 teaspoon
11) Green chillies - 3 (slit into two)
12) Oil - 2 tablespoon
13) Salt as required
14) Curry leaves or coriander leaves as required for your taste to garnish.
15) Water - 1/2 cup
For the gravy:
Grind one chopped Onion
Coriander Powder
Chilli Powder
Turmeric powder
One Green Chilli
Saunf
One teaspoon each of Garlic and Ginger into a fine paste | METHOD | Heat oil in a pan and add 2 chopped onions, one teaspoon garlic, one teaspoon ginger and green chillies.
Saute till onions turn light brown.
Add the gravy paste and wait for oil to separate.
Now add tomatoes and saute till tomatoes are cooked.
Add potatoes,peas and salt.
Mix well for 2 mins.Now add water and cook covering with a lid till potatoes are done.
Add curry leaves or coriander as the taste required. |
